Film Insert Molding (Overview)
What is Film Insert Molding?
Film Insert Molding is a manufacturing method in which a pre-printed film is placed inside a mold and integrated with the plastic part during the molding process. This technology enables improved production yield, decorative finishes on curved surfaces, and flexible product variations.

Typical Applications
Home appliances: rice cookers, washing machines, etc.
Medical equipment: dental devices, etc.
Automotive: interior components and control panels, etc.
Key Features
1) Design on Curved Surfaces
Because the film is printed in advance, it allows decorative expressions that are difficult to achieve with conventional painting processes.

2) Optimized Waterproof and Dustproof Design
Since the film and molded part are integrated during molding, there are no gaps, making it easier to achieve waterproof and dustproof designs.

3) Model Variations with the Same Mold
Different colors and design variations can be created simply by changing the surface film while using the same mold.
